SONGS FOR KURZBAUERGASSE
Building of the Sculpture Department, Academy of Fine Arts School, Vienna, 22 ‐ 29.01.2016


SONGS FOR KBG was an audio installation, bringing together artists working with sound to create a soundtrack for the building of the Sculpture Department of the Fine Arts School of Vienna. They have all been given as input the audio recording of a tour on the history of the building of the building that happened within the context of Lone Haugaard Madsens’ teachership. The synthesizer organ that served as a sound system was found in the basement during the tour. The audience could listen and at the same time experiment with the instrument, gaining access to a new aural understanding and memory of the building.
